The US Marshal have confirmed to JMN that Aaron Pierre Thomas, 33, died last week while being treated at an area hospital with multiple gunshot wounds from a March 24 incident.

Thomas died Thursday. He was wanted out of Danville, VA, on charges of armed robbery. The alleged fugitive was tracked to Ohio on March 24 and was cornered into a house in the 1700 block of Regent Ave. NE.

When he noticed officers responding, he exited the house firing gunshots at officers. He shot and injured one US Marshal – who sustained non-life threatening injuries. Thomas was injured when authorities returned fire.
