US Marshals arrest man in Tuscarawas County on kidnapping charge

A Massillon man was arrested in Tuscarawas County Friday morning by the US Marshals with the assistance of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the US Marshals confirmed to JMN.

A spokesperson said Zachary D. Parker, 27, was arrested along 77 NB in New Philadelphia in connection to an Amber Alert issued April 9.

A warrant was issued for his arrest on April 9. Parker was arrested on charges of Kidnapping and Domestic Violence.

He’s accused of abducting two children from the Red Roof Inn hotel near the 4600 block of Everhard Road.

The children were reunited with their mother a short time later.

Parker is being held in the Stark County Jail on $100,000 bond.
