One person is dead after officials with the Stark County Sheriff’s Office say they responded to a shooting in the 700 block of West Common Street NE in Plain Township.
The shooting occurred around noon on Saturday. When deputies arrived, they located a male who died from a gunshot.
The victim’s body was transported to the Stark County Coroner’s Office and the incident remains under investigation. It is unclear if an arrest in the shooting has been made at this time.
