The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified a Canton area teen who drowned Monday in Lake Erie.
Omarion Baker, 13, was swimming at Villa Angela Beach in Cleveland when he went under water just after 7 p.m.
First responders located Omarion around 7:50 p.m. and rushed him to a local hospital. He died a short time later.
The juvenile was a student within the Canton Local School District. He was preparing to enter his freshman year at Canton South High School, according to the school district’s Facebook page.
