Officials are investigating a motorcycle accident that left a 17-year-old boy dead Sunday afternoon.
Canton Police Chief Jack Angelo says Gage A. Carroll, of Canton, died from injuries he sustained in a mini-bike accident. Witnesses say Carroll was traveling at a high-rate of speed in the area of 6th St. NW and Shorb Ave. NW for an accident with injuries.
Police say Carroll failed to stop at a stop sign on Shorb Ave. before striking a vehicle traveling west bound on 6th St. NW.
He was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital where he died from his injuries.
The Canton Metro Crash Team responded and is continuing to investigate the accident.
