The Stark County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a crash that left a man in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Sheriff George T. Maier says that his deputies responded to the 6700 block of Waynesburg Drive SE in Sandy Township for reports of a serious single-vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office says Jason J. Baxter, 44, of Navarre, Ohio, was operating a 2021 Can Am Spyder southbound on Waynesburg Dr. SE when he was slowing in traffic and lost control of the vehicle. Baxter was ejected from the vehicle before being injured. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Baxter was transported to Aultman Hospital by Quad Ambulance where he remains as he’s treated for serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
