Both schools announced the cancelation of both the varsity and Saturday junior varsity contests, which were set to play at Buckeye’s World War II Memorial Stadium in Yorkville.

The Panthers program is undergoing contact tracing following the Panthers’ Aug. 19 season opener against Barnesville High School. This comes as Barnesville announced Sunday they were canceling their next football game versus Meadowbrook after multiple COVID cases sprang from the Shamrocks’ team.

Union Local announced on Twitter they are actively searching for a replacement opponent for Friday.
