New Philadelphia boys win Aquafina Classic; Dover, Garaway round out Top 3

The New Philadelphia boys golf team won the Aquafina Classic on Wednesday at Zoar Village.

The Quakers shot 297 as a team, four strokes ahead of the Dover Crimson Tornadoes’ 301 total.

New Phila’s Shad Kenily shot an even-par 72, sharing medalist honors with Dover’s Carter Begue and Garaway’s Trace Gibson.

Louis Devore shot 74 for New Phila, along with Jacob Hootman’s 75 and Nathan Menapace’s 76.

Begue led the Crimson Tornadoes with his even-par performance, along with Richard Tolloti’s 74, Dylan Grewell’s 77, and Jacob Hanner’s 78.

The Pirates, meanwhile, rounded out the podium at 312, led by Gibson, Charles Beachy (75), Emmet Royer (80), and Caleb Meek (85)
