The Alliance City Schools are implementing a mask requirement for students and staff effective Friday (Aug. 27).

District families received a message from Superintendent Robert Gress Thursday about the district’s decision.

Before the school year began, the district only required K-5 students and the staff in those buildings to wear masks because that age group of students were ineligible for vaccine.

The district has seen a rise in case within the school district and students are beginning to miss school due to contact-tracing and quarantines.
