Conotton Valley’s Week 3 football game with Newcomerstown was canceled late Friday evening due to a COVID-19 issue within the Rockets’ team.

Conotton Valley Superintendent Todd Herman confirmed the news Friday.

Herman says all Rockets players will be tested, and should the remaining players test negative, the Rockets will talk to Newcomerstown about rescheduling the game – possibly as early as the start of next week.

The Trojans’ originally scheduled Week 4 matchup against Indian Valley was already canceled due to COVID issues within the Braves’ program.

The Rockets’ next scheduled game is Saturday, Sept. 11 with Fremont St. Joseph.
