A 74-year-old man died early Saturday morning after crashing his vehicle into a tree.
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office said they were dispatched to the intersection of Robertsville Avenue Southeast and Lisbon Street (SR 172) in Paris Township in response to a single-vehicle crash.
When they arrived on scene, the discovered a Chrysler PT Cruiser that they said was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a turn before striking a tree.
The driver was identified as William Grimm of East Liverpool.
The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Stark County Sheriff’s Office at (330) 430-3800.
