The life of a Canton resident was claimed Monday afternoon after a fire broke out in a NW Canton home.
Officials said a body, which is believed to be of the home’s occupant, was found on the front porch of the home in the 2700 block of Eighth Street.
Neighbors say the occupant of the home was an older woman who lived alone.
The fire remains under investigation. The cause of the fire has not been revealed at this time.
