Alliance Police make arrest in Rite Aid robbery; suspect admits money was for drugs

The Alliance Police Department announced the arrest of Danield F. Lattanzio, 27, who is accused of robbing the Rite Aid in Alliance located at E. State St and Arch Ave on Monday evening.

Police claim Lattanzio walked into the Rite Aid location with a hunting knife. Thankfully no one was injured and and he exited the building with under $500.

The suspect was charged with Aggravated Robbery – the city’s first since 2017.

An arrest was made after a 12-hour investigation by detections. Lattanzio was arrested as he was trying to locating the hunting knife he hid overnight after the alleged robbery, according to police.

Police say the suspect confessed that the money he stole was for drugs.
