The Hiland Hawks are going to the regional finals.
The Hawks bested Minford 1-0 in Thursday’s regional semifinal.
Caelan Howell scored the only goal of the match midway through the first half, while Hawks goalie Wyatt Freeman recorded a shutout.
The Hawks improved to 14-5-1 and will play No. 3 Grandview Heights (14-4-2) on Saturday at noon at Zane Trace High School.
ATHENS 5, DOVER 3
Athens High School defeated Dover 5-3 to end the Crimson Tornadoes’ 2021 campaign.
Athens scored twice in the first 10 minutes On a Dover team that had held teams scoreless in their previous three playoff contests.
Athens improved to 13-3-4 and will play in the regional finals this Saturday, while Dover ended its season at 15-5.
