Robert Torrence, 29, entered a guilty plea to involuntary manslaughter charges Tuesday for the killing of 27-year-old Devon Meredith of Massillon.
The shooting happened at Torrence’s home in the 1400 block of 6th Street SW.
Co-defendant Thomas Humphrey, 48, got probation for a tampering with evidence conviction.
Torrence had originally been charged with murder. He will do 14 to 16.5 years in prison.
