Federal agents arrest 19-year-old accused of murdering Canton man

Federal agents with the United States Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Darcell Lamont Anthony Jr., 19, of Canton on a murder charge.

Anthony Jr. is accused of shooting and killing Sean Rex, 47, of Canton. Police responded to Rex’s home in the 2100 block of 7th St. N.E. For a shooting.

When officers entered the home, they located Rex on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anthony Jr. was arrested nearly 24 hours after the shooting in the 3600 Block of Lotus Pl. SW. in Canton by federal agents. He was charged with murder. He was also wanted for outstanding warrants related to domestic violence.

The murder investigation is ongoing.
