The Canton Police Department is investigating the city’s 9th homicide, claiming the life of a 25-year-old man.
Police were dispatched to the Victory Square Apartment complex on Lippert Rd. NE for a shooting. When they arrived to the scene, Chief Gabbard said officers located 25-year-old Stanley Calhoun on the floor of the hotel lobby with a gunshot to the chest. He was pronounced dead at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital.
Chief Gabbard also 63-year-old Julie Williams was also shot in the upper arm area, sustaining non-life threatening injuries.
There are no suspects at this time, and the investigation is ongoing, according to police.
