A 55-year-old Canton man died Tuesday night from injuries he sustained in a single-vehicle crash in Paris Township, according to the Canton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Christopher R. Bowling, 55, of Canton, was driving a red 2007 Chevrolet Malibu westbound on State Route 172 near milepost 26. He drove off the left side of the road, struck a ditch then an embankment before overturning and coming to a rest.
Bowling was transported to Aultman Hospital by Sandy Creek Joint Fire District, where he was pronounced dead.
Officials say Bowling was not wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
