The Carrollton boys golf team started their season red-hot, winning three tournaments in a row.
The Warriors opened the season at the Garaway Pirate Invitational at Black Gold Golf Club on Friday, Aug. 5. The team won the invitational with a score of 297. Senior Jaxon Rinkes won the invitational with a low score of 71. Carrollton’s Colton Moore was second with a 73.
Monday, the golf team won their second tournament of the season with a 306 at the Indian Valley Invitational. Rinkes won the tournament with a score of 72. John Birong placed second with a 74. Moore finished with a 79 and Cayden Rininger finished with 81.
The boys team kept the hot steak going at the Division II Warrior Classic at North Star, winning with a score of 313.
Scores from the Warriors were as follows: Rinkes, 74; Rininger, 79; Moore, 80; Birong, 80; and Micah Barkan, 80.
