A man involved in a Sunday morning house fire in Canton has died, according to the Canton Police Department.

Three people were injured when a fire broke out inside a home on 14th St NW and Oxford Ave.

The 32-year-old went into cardiac arrest as firefighters were rescuing him from the house. He died days later at the hospital. The two other victims remain in critical condition.

The fire department believes there were no working smoke detectors in the house at the time of the fire.

The victim’s name has not been released.
