A routine traffic stop ended in a multi-vehicle accident that left a woman with injuries Thursday evening just before 7pm.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol of Canton, Ashley E. Maley, age 33, of Canton, was driving a 2008 Chevy Impala eastbound on SR 172 at a high rate of speed in an attempt to elude Massillon Police.

Maley struck a 2018 Honda CRV, operated by Zachary J. Anderson, 40, of Massillon at the intersection of SR 172 and Genoa Rd. Maley continued to flee from Massillon Police and struck a 2013 Ford F-150 turning left into a private drive that was operated by Robert L. Wade, 68 of Cumberland, according to officials.

Maley lost control and went off the right side of the roadway, striking four parked vehicles located at Automax of Canton.

Maley sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported the Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center in Canton.

Anderson and Wade were both wearing seatbelts and did not sustain any injuries.

Court records show Maley has multiple active arrest warrants for drug related charges that were issued on Sept. 14.

The crash remains under investigation.
