The Akron Police Department is investigating a stabbing incident that occurred at Firestone CLC Friday afternoon.
According to police, they were dispatched to the school for reports of a student being stabbed.
Preliminary information states that a 15-year-old student was stabbed during an altercation inside one of the boys’ bathrooms. The stabbing victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A 14-year-old was detained by the School Resource Officer following the incident. The 14-year-old was then transported to the police station for questioning.
Felonious Assault and possibly other charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
