The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle crash that occurred on US 36 near High St in the Village of Port Washington. The crash occurred at approximately 10:54 AM on November 12th, 2022.
According to Troopers, Justice Ellis, 25, of Sidney, OH was traveling eastbound on US 36 near High St. (milepost 7). Ellis drove across the double-yellow line and struck a parked car.
A five-year-old passenger in Ellis’ car was transported to Akron Children’s Hospital where he died from his injuries.
The driver was wearing a seat belt. The “proper use of a child booster seat by the passenger” is being investigated.
The crash remains under investigation.
