The Wednesday night before Thanksgiving is often known as one of the biggest drinking days of the year. One local transportation company is offering free rides to ensure you get home safely.
SARTA is offering free ride service starting at 5 p.m.
The “Oh What Fun It Is to Ride For Free” program through the Stark County Sheriff’s Safe Communities Coalition has been resurrected after a COVID put a stop to the program.
It’s for fixed route service only.

Safe Communities and SARTA will partner for another free ride event on December 30 and 31.
The effort is designed to keep people from driving impaired and saving lives.
