In the early morning hours on Sunday morning, the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 13000 block of River Rd SW in Port Washington for an accident with injuries.
Deputies responded to the scene just after midnight. When they arrived, medical personnel informed them that Ethan Huff, 21, of Sherrodsville, died at the scene.
Mitchell Smith, 21, was transported to the hospital for injuries. He remains in critical condition.
Details surrounding the cause of the crash are limited.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted on the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
