Louisville woman killed in single-vehicle crash

A 38-year-old woman from Louisville died Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash in the Akron area, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman, who’s name has not been released, was traveling westbound on Tisen Road in Springfield Township. Her 2006 Pontiac G6 crossed the centerline went off the roadway before striking a pole.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Summa-Akron City Hospital by the Springfield Township Fire Department for life-threatening injuries. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Speed has been determined to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and the Springfield Township Police Department.
