Charges pending against Northwest students after bullying involving student with special needs

The Canal Fulton Police Department has announced that charges are forthcoming against two Northwest High School students in an alleged bullying incident.

According to reports, two boys allegedly coerced a student with special needs to remove feces from a toilet with his hand. The incident was recorded on a cell phone.

The investigation was conducted by the department’s school resource officer, who consulted with prosecutors from Stark County Juvenile Court to determine the appropriate criminal charges. The identities of the students involved and the specific charges to be filed have not yet been released.
