A 17-year-old girl from Canton who was reported missing and endangered has been located in Ahumada, Chihuahua, Mexico, according to officials.

The US Marshals and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force had been searching for Kaitlyn Coones and 33-year-old Jonathan Jones, who was wanted for pandering obscene material and child endangerment.

Authorities announced that Jones had been arrested, but did not provide further details on the circumstances surrounding his arrest. The investigation into the case is ongoing.

Coones had been reported missing from Canton, Ohio, and authorities believed that she was traveling with Jones near the Mexican border in Arizona. The US Marshals Service Missing Child Unit and the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force had been working with local law enforcement agencies to locate the pair.

Officials did not disclose how or when Coones was located, or if she was with Jones at the time of his arrest.

Anyone with additional information about the case is encouraged to contact the US Marshals Service or the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
