Detectives from the Akron Police Department are working to unravel the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a female found lying in Minordy Place (Alley), located at the rear of a residence in the 400 block of S. Arlington Street.
The authorities were alerted to the distressing incident today around 12:55 p.m., after a concerned citizen reported discovering the lifeless body. Responding officers swiftly arrived at the scene.
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office responded and plan to conduct an autopsy. No direct signs of injury were noticed.
The Medical Examiner’s Office has revealed that the deceased individual has been identified as a 13-year-old female from Akron. Her name has not been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
