Carrollton girls remain unbeaten by defeating Minerva, United on the links

In a recent tri-match showdown at Minerva’s Great Trail Golf Course, the girls’ golf teams from Minerva, United and Carrollton took to the fairways.

The spotlight shone on Carrollton as they clinched victory with a score of 181.

Leading the charge for the Lady Warriors, Claire Hostetler showcased a score of 42, supported closely by Ashlee Garner at 43. Mackenzie Rummell contributed a score of 47, while Kaylee Russell rounded off their performance with a 49.

With Carrollton’s 40-stroke victory, the Lady Warriors move to 7-0 on the season and 4-0 in conference play.

In the race for the runner-up position, United secured second place, tallying a total of 221. Mati Zines exhibited skill with a score of 41, while Olivia Ashburn’s efforts resulted in a 55. Emma Murphy’s performance contributed a 57 to the team’s score. Alaina Brewer and Abigail Jones posted matching scores of 68.

Minerva finished in third place with a score of 231. Mady Bartley’s performance yielded a score of 53, while Delaney Sell closely trailed at 54. Lily Mitchell and Hannah Kirkpatrick both put up scores of 62 to further bolster Minerva’s performance in the match.
