Stark County man in critical condition after being shot by older brother, police say

Authorities responded to a shooting early Monday morning, where a man identified as Travis Billheimer sustained multiple gunshot wounds, according to Canton Police Chief John Gabbard of the Canton Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to 1419 14th St. NW around 2:40 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Travis Billheimer outside the residence with several gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital by Canton Fire, where he is listed in critical condition.

The suspect, identified as Christopher Billheimer, the victim’s brother, was apprehended at the scene by responding officers.

Christopher C. Billheimer, 38, of Canton, Ohio, faces charges of felonious assault and domestic violence in connection with the incident.
