The Canton Police Department is investigating an incident that resulted in a man being shot three times Friday night.
According to a Canton Police Report, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Arlington Ave SW for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a man laying face down in the grass in front of a 9th St SW address who had been shot three times – in the mouth, lower back and leg.
Officers immediately began rendering aide to the victim until medics arrived.
The unknown suspect was described as a black man wearing all black last seen going East on 10th St SW in Canton.
No details regarding what led to the shooting have been disclosed at this time.
