A 29-year-old man from Sugar Creek Township faces charges of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a relative multiple times, according to a Stark County grand jury indictment.

Clinton J. Walker, residing on Justus Avenue SW, was indicted on attempted murder along with two counts of felonious assault and one count each of domestic violence, aggravated menacing, resisting arrest, and obstructing official business.

His arraignment in Stark County Common Pleas Court is scheduled for Friday, with Judge Natalie Haupt presiding over the case.

Authorities arrested Walker at his residence around 2:29 a.m. on March 30, according to an arrest report from sheriff’s deputies. Initially, Massillon prosecutors charged him with felonious assault and felony domestic violence.

The judge overseeing the case highlighted Walker’s need for mental health treatment.

Walker is currently held at Stark County Jail on a bond of $250,000.
