A road rage incident on Wednesday morning resulted in the arrest of a Canton man after he allegedly brandished a handgun during an altercation on Interstate 77.

At approximately 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a road rage incident in the southbound lanes of I-77 near Green. The victim reported that the suspect repeatedly cut her off and displayed a handgun.

The Sheriff’s Office quickly obtained a description of both the suspect and his vehicle and enlisted the assistance of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The combined efforts of both agencies led to the identification and location of the suspect in Stark County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol stopped the vehicle and identified the suspect as Logan S. Ebby, 30, of Canton. Deputies secured the handgun found in his possession.

Ebby was arrested by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Aggravated Menacing and Reckless Operation. He was transported to the Summit County Jail.

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
