A 27-year-old woman is in custody following allegations of killing a cat and consuming its remains, according to court records from Canton.

Allexis T. Ferrell faces charges of Injuring Animals and Disorderly Conduct after the incident, which reportedly occurred on August 16 at the Jackson Sherrick housing complex in the 1100 block of 13th Street SE.

Police responded to the scene and discovered Ferrell squatting next to a cat that had severe injuries to its head. The arrest report indicates that officers found evidence suggesting Ferrell had stomped on the animal’s head before eating it. Upon their arrival, officers observed blood on Ferrell’s feet and hands, along with fur on her lips.

Ferrell was taken into custody by Canton Police and is currently awaiting further legal proceedings.
