A North Canton woman has been indicted on multiple felony charges, accused of embezzling funds from a high school basketball booster club over several years.
Billie Jo Boyajian, 47, was indicted by a Stark County grand jury on Oct. 3, facing charges of grand theft, forgery, and misuse of credit cards. A warrant for her arrest was issued the same day.
According to the indictment, Boyajian is accused of stealing funds from the Hoover Hoops Booster Club, which supports the Hoover High School basketball program. The alleged thefts occurred between January 2019 and April 2024.
The total amount of funds stolen is estimated to be between $7,500 and $150,000, according to court documents.
Boyajian is scheduled to be arraigned on Oct. 25.
