The Stark County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the OVI Task Force, will hold sobriety checkpoints on Friday evening in Minerva to screen drivers for alcohol and drug impairment.
Sheriff George T. Maier announced that the first checkpoint will take place at 6 p.m. at 15571 Lincoln St. SE, with a second location set up at 9 p.m. at 3615 Union Ave. SE. Officers from the Sheriff’s Office and other Task Force members will conduct roadside checks to identify impaired drivers and promote roadway safety.
Authorities are reminding drivers to plan for safe transportation if they plan to consume alcohol or drugs.
