An Alliance man faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, following an alleged attack of a woman, whom he is accused of stabbing with scissors.
Police responded to a call at approximately 11:05 a.m. on Sept. 18, dispatched to a home for a reported burglary and felonious assault. Authorities allege that Jimmy R. Following the assault, Stafford reportedly fled the scene. Investigators reviewed video evidence, which indicated Stafford had initially entered a detached garage on the property, allegedly searching for the victim.
Around 2 p.m., Alliance Community Hospital staff reported a man fitting Stafford’s description on hospital grounds. Officers responded, locating and arresting him without incident. Stafford was taken to the Alliance City Jail for processing.
