Dover Public Library to host Paint Night for creative patrons

The Dover Public Library is inviting patrons to unleash their creativity at a Paint Night program on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 5 p.m. Participants will learn to paint a simple sunflower on canvas, with guidance from Teen Services Manager Liz Strauss.

The Paint Night event, designed for beginners, is limited to 20 students and costs $5 per person to help cover the cost of supplies. Registration is required, and patrons can secure a spot by calling the library at 330-343-6123 or by visiting doverlibrary.org/events.

“My goal with our Paint Nights is to allow people to get creative and have some fun,” Strauss said. “It doesn’t matter if your painting looks exactly like anybody else’s. It’s your painting. What matters is that you have fun with the process. If you happen to learn a little bit about techniques or color theory along the way, all the better.”

The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut St., across from Dover High School. More information is available at doverlibrary.org.
