Louisville, Ohio native Colby Adams, a junior at Ohio State, will be taking to the course this Friday, Nov. 1, as he competes in the Big Ten Cross Country Championships in Champaign, Illinois. Adams, who made his Big Ten Championships debut as a freshman, will be representing the Buckeyes in his second appearance at the conference competition.
A former Louisville High School star, Adams built an impressive record before joining Ohio State. He was a two-time All-Ohio selection and a three-time first-team All-Stark County honoree. In 2021, he was named Stark County Runner of the Year and finished in seventh place at Ohio’s Division I state cross-country meet. Adams’ track achievements at Louisville High included the 2022 Stark County Track Championship MVP title, taking home the distance award.
At Ohio State, Adams has continued to excel both academically and athletically. Competing on the Buckeyes’ indoor and outdoor track distance teams, he is a two-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and an Academic All-Big Ten selection.
The Big Ten Cross Country Championships will take place at the University of Illinois.
