Troopers from the Canfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Monday afternoon in Mahoning County.

The crash happened at approximately 4:28 p.m. on West Calla Road, west of Duck Creek Road, in Goshen Township. Authorities say Kyle Soli, 27, of Salem, Ohio, was driving a 2025 Tesla Model 3 westbound when the vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway. The car struck a mailbox, a ditch, and a culvert, went airborne, hit multiple trees, and overturned several times before coming to rest on its wheels.

Soli, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Goshen Township Police Department, Goshen Township Fire, Goshen EMS, and Ellsworth Township EMS assisted at the scene.

Investigators say alcohol appears to have been a factor in the crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate.

With the holiday season underway, the patrol urges drivers to always wear their safety belts and to never operate a vehicle under the influence.
