A 63-year-old man with dementia was found deceased Thursday morning (Jan. 23) after wandering away from his home, according to Minerva Police Chief Larry Gardner.
Police responded to a call around 9:30 a.m. at a residence on the 500 block of Murray Avenue regarding Henry Hookey, who had left his home between 4 and 5 a.m.
Hookey was found deceased approximately 100 yards from the residence at about 11 a.m.
Chief Gardner said cold weather may have contributed to Hookey’s death, but no foul play is suspected.
The investigation remains ongoing.
