A Tuscarawas County grand jury has indicted a 24-year-old man on attempted murder and felonious assault charges months after authorities say he intentionally struck a cyclist with his pickup truck.
Quintin Sarver faces a first-degree felony charge of attempted murder and a second-degree felony charge of felonious assault for the Sept. 6 incident in Goshen Township.
According to the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office, Sarver admitted to deliberately hitting 42-year-old Dustin Bowe with his vehicle on East High Avenue. Investigators say Sarver claimed he had ongoing issues with Bowe, alleging past threats and theft.
Bowe sustained severe injuries, including brain trauma and multiple fractures, and has undergone several surgeries. Sheriff’s officials say he remains wheelchair-bound, missing part of his skull and unable to use the right side of his body, though he hopes to regain mobility.
