Tuscarawas County man on life support after weekend shooting; suspect identified, arrested

A Tuscarawas County man is on life support following a shooting Saturday evening in Harrison County, authorities said.

According to a press release from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 6:33 p.m. to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Norris Road and Moravian Trail Road in Franklin Township.

The victim, identified as Steven Andrews, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Canton with a single gunshot wound. As of Sunday, he remains on life support.

Mickey Green, of Deersville, was taken into custody at the scene, officials said. Charges are under review by the Harrison County Prosecutor’s Office.

Sheriff Mark Touville said the investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
