A Canton man was killed Monday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on the city’s northwest side, according to police.
Chief John Gabbard said officers with the Canton Police Department were called to the 900 block of 25th Street NW at approximately 12:27 p.m. April 14 for a report of a traffic accident.
A 2018 Nissan Rogue was traveling eastbound on 25th Street NW and began turning southbound into a private drive when it was struck on the driver’s side by a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, also traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed. Investigators said the motorcycle attempted to stop but was unable to avoid the collision.

The driver of the Nissan was not injured and is not suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
