Emergency personnel were dispatched to the 1600 block of Elberts Ave. SW for reports of a vehicle fire in North Canton.
When they arrived on scene at 3:03 a.m., they discovered a SUV fully engulfed in flames.
The North Canton Fire Department extinguished the flames. When the fire was out, firefighters found an unidentified man deceased in the drivers seat.
Early reports of the investigation indicate the driver was traveling south on Elberta Ave. SW and went off the east side of the road before striking a tree.
The accident remains under investigation.
