The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash on US 250 that claimed the life of a local man.
In a press release, OSHP said Derrick Easlick of Sciowas heading westbound on US 250 near the 25 milepost in Union Township, Tuscarawas County, when his 2002 Ford Ranger went left of center while negotiating a curve and struck 2021 Ford F-350, hauling a utility trailer.
Easlick was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tuscarawas County Coroner. The driver and passenger of the F-350 sustained minor injuries and were not transported to the hospital.
US 250 was closed for four hours. The crash remains under investigation.
