A 7-year-old is dead following a shooting at a Stark County hotel.
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a shooting incident that took place on Friday, June 21, in Plain Township.
Deputies were dispatched to the Knights Inn at 3950 Convenience Circle NW in Plain Township after receiving reports of a shooting around 1:00 a.m. Upon arrival, law enforcement found a juvenile victim with gunshot wounds. Immediate first aid was administered by the deputies at the scene.
The Plain Township Fire Department arrived and rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where unfortunately, the victim passed away due to their injuries.
