After nearly a decade of serving homestyle meals to the East Canton community, Lowry’s Family Restaurant will soon close its doors for good.
Owners Brian and Jamie Lowry announced the news in a heartfelt message shared on Facebook, stating that the restaurant’s final day of service will be Sunday, March 30, 2025.
“It saddens us deeply to share this news,” the post began. “What feels like just yesterday—but in reality, was 9 ½ years ago—we embarked on a new venture in the restaurant business with the goal of creating a welcoming place for our community to gather and enjoy a good meal.”
The Lowrys purchased the restaurant in 2015 and have since become a staple in the East Canton area, known for their casual atmosphere, friendly service and comfort food.
The couple cited a number of challenges that led to the decision to close, including staffing shortages and rising costs.
“After much thought and deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to close the restaurant,” they wrote. “The increasing challenges of operating a small business—particularly finding reliable and trustworthy staff along with managing rising costs—have led us to this point.”
Leading up to the closure, the restaurant will operate under its normal hours: Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We kindly request your patience as we may run out of certain items as the closing date approaches,” the post noted.
The owners encouraged customers to stop in, say goodbye and use any remaining gift cards before the final day of service.
The Lowrys expressed gratitude for the employees who helped keep things running and for the loyal customers who supported the restaurant over the years.
“To our loyal and cherished customers—we cannot thank you enough,” they said. “Your support, kindness, and patronage have been the heart of our business, and we will miss you more than words can express.”
